Café Lounge: More Than Just Coffee
If you don’t know the story already, this is where Artessa truly began! The unit where the cafe is now was just a concrete shell and we only dreamed it would turn out the way it has. We roasted our coffee in the café with our trusty (tiny) 250g Hottop coffee roaster! We keep it in the roastery as a reminder of how far we have come in the business. A far cry from the Probat roaster we now use that can roast 12 kg.
15 years ago, we had an idea, and that time has gone by in a blink. We still have this drawing of our initial ideas for the cafe logo, with a little creative flare from our then toddlers who wanted to add some colour.
15 years later and Cafe Lounge is still thriving. Not only is it a haven for coffee and tea. Its a place where friends meet up and where our regulars come in for a coffee and a chat while they wait.
